Scottish Course to Train Tutors of Lipreading

Lipspeaking Training - coming to Scotland!

Our second speaker at the ATLA training day in Glasgow in March was Mary McDevitt.

Mary is a level 3 lipspeaker who is involved in trying to get a Scottish lipspeaking training course underway.

She talked about the background to lipspeaking training and noticed that there have been fewer requests for lipspeakers recently possibly due to the availability of electronic notetakers.

She asked that we let our class members know about the value of lipspeakers and what they do.
